Learning From My Gambling Failures

First to explain the reason I wrote this essay. I have been gambling on the internet or at land-based casinos for many years. I have discovered, the addiction can take a hold of you and you will not even realize it until you are bankrupt. Particularly if you’re on a winning run. I’ve gone through many thousands of dollars in only a short period of time and to this day on occasion, I’ll go too far. It appears you are just having fun until you start to be aware of your defeats and the anguish sets in, and then you continue to tell yourself "I can win it back" repeatedly. It doesn’t works. Then you become sick in your stomach and the more you try the faster you lose.

When you see that you’re up, remain on the UP! When you start to lose, do not say to yourself, "well perhaps just one more" and again and again, believe me, this concept hardly ever operates. Say you are playing on slots, have a bankroll set aside before starting your action. DO NOT go over that limit, no matter how captivating. If you actually succeed, put that in a separate pot. Do not use your winnings no matter what. As soon as you’ve played through your original set limit, bail out. Head out, regardless if it is on the web or at a brick and mortar betting house, don’t stick around. Always keep in mind, there will be a different day, a different time.

Keep in mind, betting should be FUN not exhausting, nauseating work! If you are not enjoying yourself, you don’t belong there. If youcannot manage the cost, don’t even begin.
